The North Point Eyewear brand is synonymous with reliable, premium, American-made eyewear. Our commitment to quality begins with genuine, well-made eyewear your customers can count on.
Through our years of experience in eyewear and optical sourcing, we learned that not all “premium” frames are made equal – and the key is choosing the right ingredients.
So, we scoured the globe to find absolute top components on the market: sturdy metal hinges and core wiring from Germany, premium acetate from Italian manufacturers, and in our sunglasses, high-grade nylon lenses with AR coatings, renowned for their optical clarity.
Read on to learn more about the quality components that go into each and every North Point frame we make.
We use the finest optical metal components on the market, imported from OBE in Germany.
Our frames feature three-barrel and five-barrel hinges, depending on the style and size of each design.
Safety screws provide a smooth movement and anti-loosening effect, while safety hinges with integrated plastic provides tolerance compensation and torque adjustment.
We import our acetate directly from Mazzucchelli and La-Es, both veteran acetate manufacturers located in Italy.
Each color in our collection has been hand-selected by a group of designers and product directors, based on current trends, classic pattern, and the character of each pair of glasses.
Each frame is hand-polished to deliver a fine luster and dramatic shine. Along with our standard colors, we also offer a stock of custom colorways that can be applied to private collections and designs.
Each of our sunglass style frames come standard with plano sunlenses in either Brown, Grey, or G-15.
Our lenses are made of polyamide or nylon and come standard with a backside AR coating.
Nylon lenses are known for their superior comfort and optical quality. On average, these lenses are 20% lighter than polycarbonate or glass lenses.
Finally, our lenses provide a high ABBE value for maximum clarity.
